Obby of Illusions Speedrun Update
We plan to add a speedrun for the Lab Challenge that will enable players to try to get the shortest time to finish the Lab Challenge. We plan to start development on this sometime later and expect it to be finished sometime in June.

Obby of Illusions Lab Challenge Released!
We have finished the Lab Challenge and are glad to announce that it will be released this Saturday! The Lab Challenge is our hardest level yet and our most ambitious one yet. In it, you can go through multiple levels and try to do increasingly harder and harder levels. We plan to later add another ending potentially and also add an ability to be able to speedrun the Lab Challenge. Obby of Illusions Dev Update 3
Obby of Illusions Lab Challenge level is in its final stages of development. We are near finishing the Lab Challenge and expect to release sometime later in May. For the Lab Challenge, we also are making another ending for it that may come out sometime in June. There is not really any other news as we are mainly now focusing on finishing the Lab Challenge.

Ignite CS Programming Expo Top 10% (First Place)!
The Supermax Studios game, Obby of Illusions, placed in the top 10% which means it is in the first place category! The Ignite CS Programming Expo is hosted by Cal Poly Pomona and allows kids K-12 to show off their projects and what they have made. In the Ignite CS Programming Expo, third place is around the top 30%, second place is around the top 20%, and the first place is around the top 10%. Each submission if categorized based on category such as games, apps, hardware, etc. and on grade level. There were around 250 finalists and it was a pretty tough competition, but we were able to make it to the top. The certificate will be sent out by mail and will arrive within 1-2 weeks of the competition. The Supermax Studios team would like to thank every one of you for your support and we would not have been here if it weren’t for you.

We are still hard at work at the Lab Challenge level in Obby of Illusions and it is nearly done. We just need to add some final rooms and touches and expect it to be released sometime in May. Here’s one snapshot of the Lab Challenge of one of the newest, not finished rooms.

Weekly NewsletterVolume 1 15/1/20Ignite CS Programming Expo FinalistThe Supermax Studios game, Obby of Illusions, was named one of the finalists of the Ignite CS Programming Expo under the game and animation category. The Ignite CS Programming Expo is hosted by Cal Poly Pomona and allows kids K-12 to show off their projects and what they have made. It is being sponsored by Snapchat, Kronosaur, NSA, and more. The event will start on May 3, at 9:30 where the judging will begin. Each participant will get to show a demo of their project and explain it to judges. Obby of Illusions Dev UpdateThe Lab Challenge in Obby of Illusions is still in development and is expected to be released sometime around May. Here are some updates from the devs: The Lab Challenge in Obby of Illusions has been our most ambitious project yet in Obby of Illusions and we are working very hard to finish it. It is currently around 80% finished and we expect it to be finished sometime around May. Last week, we added 3 rooms in it and are finalizing the story and endings. We plan to add the multiple endings next week and to add some final touches to the Lab Challenge. In the meantime, here are some exclusive snapshots for this newsletter! -Max |
